Locked out of the Mall in D.C. for the inauguration of Barack Obama. Figures I've heard (but haven't had the opportunity to verify) are that 1.2 million people were allowed into the Mall, but 2.5 million people showed. More than half of us were unable to clearly see the swearing in, but we could still hear the speech and witness what it felt to be there.
